From other places originally, Jim and Linda found each other in Nashville, married and raised a family. Through all those years each one discovered in the social fabric of their adopted community places where they gave continuous devotion and concern for those in need. Affordable housing was one such place of engagement and homelessness another. Linda’s engagement with women in prison reflected both her teaching background and her penchant for individual interaction and counseling. Jim gave of himself to marginalized men through a years’ long classroom encounter called Hope at Room in the Inn Participants carried on with their lives with renewed zest for what possibilities can be found with vision refreshed and expanded. This Fund will carry on the memory of the Zraleks by providing an annual grant to Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH), an organization that gathers everyday people to voice their concerns and come together to share those concerns with leaders and others in the community.
