Benja Hutchens

As Vice President of Employee Care Program, Benja works with partner funders from over 80 different corporations nationwide, administering programs to provide emergency support for their employees experiencing crisis. She also oversees The Foundation’s compliance with the Community Foundation National Standards Board accreditation program. This program certifies U.S. community foundations that meet and exceed federal and state law requirements demonstrating a commitment to accountability and excellence to its donors and community.

A Nashville native, Benja holds a Master’s degree in counseling and has years of experience working with social service agencies in Middle Tennessee. She joined The Foundation in 2004 after previously working for Centerstone Mental Health Services, Omni Vision Behavioral Health, and most recently, the YWCA Domestic Violence Center.
