Angela Hubbard retired after 42 years of educating generations of students.
Born to John and Frances Ann Jo Hubbard in Savannah, TN, Angela has consistently carried the love and lessons of her parents into the classroom and onto the court. In her career, Hubbard has led teams beyond expectations, excelling at the highest levels of competition. The same work ethic and determination she displayed in overcoming a horrible accident in high school imparted to each team and each student, making all better for it.
She is the mother of John Angelo Hopson, the Head Basketball Coach at Overton High School. She is also second mother to many former students, sharing in the joy of their accomplishments and life events. This scholarship will honor this incredible coach and teacher’s legacy on and off the court.
