Ray Bishop was loved by a multitude of friends in Dickson County and will be especially missed by neighbors and friends in the Yellow Creek community. He was a lifelong farmer and raised cattle. He was known for raising and baling hay and for custom bailing for his neighbors. Ray always planted a large garden and freely shared the produce. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many happy times hunting, fishing, and boating on Danville Lake and the Tennessee River. Ray’s sister, Rita Mai Bishop, established this fund through a bequest in her will. Scholarships to benefit students from Dickson County with plans to study agriculture will be made from this fund.
