Established 1998
The Cheatham County Community Foundation is a pool of charitable resources dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the county’s residents, now and always. The Foundation offers every friend of Cheatham County the opportunity to contribute to its future.

In 1998, a group of Cheatham County citizens were looking for a way to serve both current and future generations. Acknowledging that education is key to the development of both individuals and the community, these citizens sought to provide scholarships for local residents. Created through affiliation with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, The Cheatham County Community Foundation established a vehicle for providing scholarships. Later, it established a vehicle to provide grant funding to support local nonprofits.
